Xi State Committee Training a Success

The Fall Committee Training for Xi State this past weekend was a huge success. Why? Easy answer…our Xi State members are phenomenal! [Heard that before haven't you?] Seriously, the Committee Chairs, Area Directors, and Officers fought through the Friday afternoon Nashville traffic to begin the preparation for the Saturday committee meetings. Then on Saturday morning, the committee members arrived with their sleeves rolled up bringing enthusiasm and smiles to begin “Embracing our vision and Designing our future” for the 2011-2013 biennium. As I visited and observed the committee meetings, I was extremely impressed with each member’s focus on the task at hand. Then when the gists were read, I knew we had come together to increase our membership and grow chapters. How exciting to hear the Committee Chairs share how their committee members were an outstanding group. They thanked me for putting together just the right personalities and abilities. Oh, that I could take credit for that; however, I must honestly go back and repeat, Xi State members are phenomenal. They are dedicated, intelligent, hard working educators going beyond the expected to serve DKG. What an honor to be a part of this organization.
