Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s simply that you can text them…Betterhelp Change Preferences… sort of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have ideas whenever you’re thinking of things you wish to you can speak about it with your therapist sort of immediately and then I believe a good part about that is if you have an idea kind of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be speaking to your therapist that day and even if you are if you simply want to remember what you’re believing you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I think it can be truly practical for people with stress and anxiety or with depression with journalism of thoughts it sort of gives you a fast outlet for those things and possibly they don’t develop in in your mind as much as they may if you need to wait you know a week to inform your therapist about something so I think that’s actually cool I actually like it for that I would state that’s a huge professional um I would state a con related to that very same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to talk about if you pick to text them about it so if I want to state I’m feeling by doing this you understand I think it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists inspect there the message place where you put the message like your their inbox I think I don’t understand what they call it they examine that 2 times a day or a minimum of my therapist told me that she inspects hardest two times a day so because regard you’re gon na.
get about 2 responses a day about like clearly if you’re most likely having like a crisis and they have a moment they can probably help you however it’s not like they’re just waiting around for you to message since essentially they do a lot of these people seem to have perhaps not practices but they have an office that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not really immediate in that regard like discussing things it’s immediate that you can tell them your issues which you can get that off your chest but you might need to wait a bit longer to talk about things and if you’re discussing things in therapy it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and after that they’re gon na state oh it’s this how you address this they’re gon na type of talk about it like a regular conversation however with talk space you might state this and after that it might be five hours later on and then they may state oh well this and after that it’s kind of it takes a lot longer to talk just like if you’re making plans with your pals you know what I indicate like you can call someone and you can state hey let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know finished with your discussion at 5 minutes whereas it may take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s just something great to think about you understand something that did trouble me a bit at first yeah the one good idea to it appears to be a good bit less expensive than entering to speak to someone it’s about $200 a month around there I could put the actual cost like here someone it’s about that rate a month to have the live sessions and the texting which consists of for that package it is for half an hour live sessions per month so every week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re probably talking actually since like I stated it’s only half an hour and if you go to treatment you’re probably going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and however you get more support I would say so that’s sort of great the app itself the interface is very easy to use I like it I do not have really any problems about it besides maybe like you can’t see if they read it however like I think that doesn’t matter because like they’re gon na respond when they see it anyhow so I do not know that was simply something I considered however that’s.

not really essential however overall I do like the interface and personally my experience with my counselor has been great up until now um I indicate it is I would state another con in my viewpoint would be that it might be hard opening up to these people just because you’re not there personally and you’re not personally rather as much as you would be with typical regular therapy so I believe that it could be harder for people to open to their therapists if you have trouble opening to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did intend to have a little bit of trouble opening up so it’s been something that I’ve been considering but I’m not exactly sure just how much that really is just me having an issue opening to people or the real app so I’m sorry that the lighting got odd and I actually can’t make a video without everything failing simultaneously however back here so I simply wanted to provide some like last thoughts I think I don’t want this to be too long of a video I type of wanted to give a brief summary and then like if you want me to go more in depth about it I kind of can like in an follow-up video or something like that essentially I think it’s a great service I believe it does what it says it’s expected to do I believe it’s a bit tough if you have some concerns that are look I believe it’s truly good for like stress type of things and I haven’t been having a lot of like that kind of thing like I have like been just having a lot of like think you’re not small however like smaller sized things than like my basic stress and anxiety and like what triggers me and whatever and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I mean I think I must’ve said that earlier but I do have anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and then I do not I’m not like identified or anything with depression um but I do definitely like depressive thoughts and like I truly like to state that I have anxiety but like that and I do likewise have seasonal depression which I have not utilized that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summer season here so generally I believe it’s truly excellent if you you understand can’t make it to consultations if you have an actually busy task or something like that I think also another really excellent actually great prospect to use talk space would be somebody who’s traveling a lot so or possibly you’re taking a trip overseas or if you simply if you take a trip in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I think that would be a fantastic thing well I continue to use it yes I will even if I haven’t.
