Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s just that you can text them…Betterhelp Existential Therapy… sort of whenever you have ideas whenever you have concepts whenever you’re thinking of things you want to you can discuss it with your therapist type of immediately and then I think a great part about that is if you have an idea type of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be speaking with your therapist that day and even if you are if you just want to remember what you’re thinking you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I think it can be really handy for people with stress and anxiety or with anxiety with the press of thoughts it type of offers you a fast outlet for those things and perhaps they do not build up in in your mind as much as they may if you have to wait you know a week to inform your therapist about something so I think that’s actually cool I really like it for that I would say that’s a big pro um I would say a con related to that exact same thing is that things just take a lot longer to speak about if you select to text them about it so if I wish to state I’m feeling by doing this you know I believe it’s because of this or this they might say oh well do you consider this this this whatever but that’s gon na be a little bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists examine there the message location where you put the message like your their inbox I guess I don’t understand what they call it they check that two times a day or a minimum of my therapist told me that she inspects hardest 2 times a day so in that regard you’re gon na.
get about two reactions a day about like clearly if you’re probably having like a crisis and they have a minute they can probably assist you but it’s not like they’re just lingering for you to message because essentially they do a great deal of these individuals appear to have maybe not practices but they have an office that they work out of anyway so um it’s not extremely instantaneous in that regard like discussing things it’s instant that you can tell them your problems which you can get that off your chest however you might have to wait a bit longer to discuss things and if you’re speaking about things in treatment it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and then they’re gon na say oh it’s this how you address this they’re gon na kind of talk about it like a normal discussion but with talk space you may say this and after that it might be 5 hours later on and after that they might state oh well this and after that it’s sort of it takes a lot longer to talk much like if you’re making strategies with your good friends you know what I imply like you can call someone and you can say hi let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you understand finished with your conversation at five minutes whereas it might take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s just something excellent to think about you understand something that did trouble me a bit initially yeah the one advantage to it seems to be an excellent bit cheaper than entering to speak to someone it has to do with $200 a month around there I might put the real price like here somebody it’s about that rate a month to have the live sessions and the texting which includes for that package it is for half an hour live sessions monthly so each week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I indicate it is less time that you’re most likely talking really since like I stated it’s only half an hour and if you go to therapy you’re most likely going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and however you get more assistance I would say so that’s type of nice the app itself the interface is really easy to use I like it I do not have truly any complaints about it aside from possibly like you can’t see if they read it however like I think that does not matter because like they’re gon na respond when they see it anyway so I do not understand that was simply something I considered however that’s.

not really important but general I do like the interface and personally my experience with my counselor has actually been great so far um I mean it is I would state another con in my opinion would be that it might be hard opening to these people just because you’re not there in person and you’re not personally rather as much as you would be with typical regular therapy so I think that it could be harder for people to open up to their therapists if you have problem opening to your therapist in the first place so that’s just something to consider I did mean to have a bit of difficulty opening so it’s been something that I have actually been considering but I’m not exactly sure how much that actually is just me having a problem opening to people or the actual app so I’m sorry that the lighting got odd and I actually can’t make a video without whatever going wrong at the same time but back here so I just wished to offer some like final thoughts I guess I don’t desire this to be too long of a video I kind of wished to offer a quick overview and after that like if you want me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that basically I think it’s an excellent service I believe it does what it says it’s expected to do I believe it’s a little bit hard if you have some concerns that are look I think it’s truly helpful for like stress type of stuff and I have not been having a great deal of like that example like I have actually like been simply having a lot of like think you’re not small but like smaller things than like my general anxiety and like what triggers me and everything and like depressive ideas so um yeah I indicate I guess I need to’ve said that earlier however I do have anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and after that I do not I’m not like detected or anything with anxiety um however I do absolutely like depressive thoughts and like I truly like to say that I have anxiety however like that and I do likewise have seasonal depression which I have not used that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summertime here so essentially I believe it’s actually great if you you know can’t make it to consultations if you have a truly hectic job or something like that I believe also another really terrific actually terrific prospect to utilize talk area would be somebody who’s taking a trip a lot so or possibly you’re taking a trip overseas or if you just if you travel in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I think that would be a terrific thing well I continue to utilize it yes I will even if I have not. problems because they’re like things of your mind and they’re things that are like worrying you or things that are making nervous or depressed however I tend to find that it’s a bit better for simply more I’m truly anxious about starting a brand-new task I am actually nervous about you understand finishing going to school you know stuff like that that’s not really like existential things um but like I said if you are experiencing more just you’re going through some stuff then I believe it would be terrific um it also depends on like how comfy you are like speaking with a phone like I understand that that sounds weird but like do you video chat with your buddies do you you know what I mean since if you don’t then I seem like it’s gon na be really strange like you holding up a phone or like talking with your laptop computer since it’s gon na resemble this strange like synthetic thing however like if you’re used to that then it’s type of like alright whatever like this is typical that’s something I noticed I do talk on facetiming a bit so I feel like I’m sort of utilized to it but I felt like when I was doing it this would be weird if I didn’t um so yeah like I said I would absolutely suggest it to anybody who takes a trip like full-time since that would be amazing like then you could in fact have treatment if that’s not something that is a choice to you.
