Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s just that you can text them…Betterhelp Sasha Parker… type of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have concepts whenever you’re thinking about things you wish to you can discuss it with your therapist kind of instantaneously and after that I think a good part about that is if you have a thought sort of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be talking to your therapist that day and even if you are if you just wish to remember what you’re thinking you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I think it can be actually practical for individuals with stress and anxiety or with anxiety with journalism of thoughts it type of provides you a quick outlet for those things and perhaps they don’t build up in in your mind as much as they might if you need to wait you understand a week to inform your therapist about something so I believe that’s truly cool I really like it for that I would state that’s a big pro um I would state a con related to that exact same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to speak about if you select to text them about it so if I want to state I’m feeling by doing this you understand I believe it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists examine there the message location where you put the message like your their inbox I think I do not understand what they call it they inspect that two times a day or at least my therapist informed me that she examines hardest 2 times a day so because regard you’re gon na.
get about 2 responses a day about like undoubtedly if you’re probably having like a crisis and they have a moment they can most likely help you but it’s not like they’re just lingering for you to message since basically they do a lot of these individuals seem to have maybe not practices however they have an office that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not really instant in that regard like talking about things it’s instant that you can tell them your issues which you can get that off your chest but you may need to wait a bit longer to talk about things and if you’re speaking about things in therapy it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and after that they’re gon na say oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na sort of speak about it like a normal conversation however with talk space you may state this and after that it might be five hours later on and after that they may state oh well this and then it’s type of it takes a lot longer to talk similar to if you’re making plans with your pals you know what I imply like you can call somebody and you can say hi let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know made with your conversation at five minutes whereas it might take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s just something good to think of you understand something that did bother me a little bit initially yeah the one advantage to it appears to be a good bit more affordable than entering to talk with someone it’s about $200 a month around there I might put the real rate like here somebody it’s about that rate a month to have the live sessions and the texting which consists of for that package it is for half an hour live sessions monthly so weekly you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re most likely talking truly because like I said it’s just half an hour and if you go to treatment you’re probably going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and but you get more support I would say so that’s type of good the app itself the interface is extremely easy to use I like it I do not have really any grievances about it aside from maybe like you can’t see if they read it but like I guess that doesn’t matter since like they’re gon na react when they see it anyhow so I do not know that was just something I thought about but that’s.

not really essential but general I do like the user interface and personally my experience with my counselor has been excellent so far um I suggest it is I would say another con in my viewpoint would be that it might be tough opening up to these individuals just because you’re not there personally and you’re not personally rather as much as you would be with typical normal therapy so I think that it could be harder for people to open up to their therapists if you have difficulty opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did mean to have a little bit of difficulty opening so it’s been something that I’ve been thinking of however I’m not exactly sure how much that in fact is just me having a problem opening to people or the actual app so I’m sorry that the lighting got unusual and I literally can’t make a video without everything going wrong at once but back here so I just wanted to provide some like final thoughts I guess I do not desire this to be too long of a video I type of wished to provide a short overview and then like if you want me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that basically I believe it’s an excellent service I believe it does what it says it’s supposed to do I think it’s a little bit difficult if you have some concerns that are appearance I think it’s truly good for like tension kind of things and I haven’t been having a lot of like that kind of thing like I have like been just having a lot of like believe you’re not little but like smaller sized things than like my basic stress and anxiety and like what activates me and whatever and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I suggest I think I must’ve stated that earlier however I do have anxiety like generalized anxiety and then I do not I’m not like identified or anything with anxiety um however I do absolutely like depressive thoughts and like I really like to say that I have depression however like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I have not used that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summer season here so generally I believe it’s truly good if you you know can’t make it to visits if you have an actually busy task or something like that I think likewise another truly terrific actually terrific prospect to utilize talk space would be somebody who’s taking a trip a lot so or possibly you’re traveling overseas or if you just if you travel in general and you do not have like access to one therapists all the time I think that would be a great thing well I continue to utilize it yes I will just because I have not. concerns because they’re like things of your mind and they’re things that are like stressing you or things that are making nervous or depressed but I tend to find that it’s a little bit better for just more I’m really nervous about starting a new job I am really distressed about you understand graduating going to school you know stuff like that that’s not really like existential things um however like I said if you are experiencing more simply you’re going through some things then I believe it would be fantastic um it also depends on like how comfortable you are like talking with a phone like I understand that that sounds odd however like do you video chat with your pals do you you understand what I mean since if you don’t then I seem like it’s gon na be actually weird like you holding up a phone or like talking to your laptop computer because it’s gon na be like this weird like synthetic thing but like if you’re utilized to that then it’s sort of like all right whatever like this is regular that’s something I discovered I do talk on facetiming a bit so I feel like I’m sort of utilized to it however I felt like when I was doing it this would be odd if I didn’t um so yeah like I said I would certainly suggest it to anybody who travels like full-time because that would be awesome like then you might actually have treatment if that’s not something that is an option to you.
