Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s just that you can text them…Betterhelp Shane… sort of whenever you have ideas whenever you have ideas whenever you’re considering things you want to you can speak about it with your therapist type of immediately and then I believe a good part about that is if you have an idea sort of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be speaking to your therapist that day or perhaps if you are if you simply wish to remember what you’re thinking you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I believe it can be truly useful for people with anxiety or with anxiety with journalism of ideas it type of gives you a fast outlet for those things and maybe they don’t develop in in your mind as much as they may if you need to wait you understand a week to tell your therapist about something so I believe that’s actually cool I truly like it for that I would say that’s a big pro um I would say a con related to that very same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to speak about if you pick to text them about it so if I want to state I’m feeling in this manner you know I believe it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a little bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists examine there the message location where you put the message like your their inbox I guess I do not know what they call it they check that 2 times a day or at least my therapist informed me that she examines hardest 2 times a day so in that regard you’re gon na.
get about two responses a day about like clearly if you’re most likely having like a crisis and they have a minute they can probably assist you however it’s not like they’re simply waiting around for you to message due to the fact that generally they do a lot of these people seem to have possibly not practices but they have a workplace that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not really instantaneous in that regard like talking about things it’s instant that you can tell them your problems and that you can get that off your chest however you might have to wait a little bit longer to talk about things and if you’re discussing things in therapy it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and after that they’re gon na state oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na kind of discuss it like a regular discussion but with talk space you may state this and then it might be 5 hours later and after that they might state oh well this and after that it’s sort of it takes a lot longer to talk similar to if you’re making strategies with your good friends you know what I imply like you can call somebody and you can state hey let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you understand finished with your discussion at five minutes whereas it may take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s just something excellent to consider you know something that did trouble me a bit initially yeah the one good idea to it appears to be a great bit more affordable than going in to talk with someone it’s about $200 a month around there I could put the actual rate like here somebody it’s about that cost a month to have the live sessions and the texting which consists of for that package it is for half an hour live sessions per month so each week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I imply it is less time that you’re most likely talking actually due to the fact that like I stated it’s only half an hour and if you go to therapy you’re probably going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and however you get more support I would say so that’s type of great the app itself the interface is very easy to use I like it I do not have truly any problems about it aside from perhaps like you can’t see if they read it but like I think that does not matter because like they’re gon na react when they see it anyway so I do not know that was just something I thought of but that’s.

not really important however overall I do like the interface and personally my experience with my counselor has actually been excellent so far um I mean it is I would say another con in my viewpoint would be that it might be hard opening to these people just because you’re not there personally and you’re not in person quite as much as you would be with normal regular therapy so I think that it could be harder for individuals to open up to their therapists if you have difficulty opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did plan to have a bit of problem opening up so it’s been something that I have actually been thinking of however I’m not sure just how much that in fact is simply me having a problem opening to people or the actual app so I’m sorry that the lighting got unusual and I literally can’t make a video without whatever failing simultaneously but back here so I simply wanted to give some like last ideas I guess I don’t want this to be too long of a video I kind of wished to offer a brief summary and after that like if you desire me to go more in depth about it I kind of can like in an follow-up video or something like that essentially I think it’s a good service I think it does what it says it’s expected to do I think it’s a little bit difficult if you have some concerns that are appearance I believe it’s really good for like stress kind of stuff and I haven’t been having a lot of like that example like I have like been just having a great deal of like believe you’re not small but like smaller things than like my general stress and anxiety and like what activates me and whatever and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I imply I guess I must’ve said that earlier however I do have actually anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and then I don’t I’m not like diagnosed or anything with depression um but I do definitely like depressive thoughts and like I actually like to state that I have anxiety but like that and I do likewise have seasonal depression which I haven’t used that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summer season here so essentially I think it’s actually great if you you understand can’t make it to appointments if you have a truly hectic job or something like that I believe also another really great truly terrific prospect to utilize talk area would be someone who’s taking a trip a lot so or possibly you’re traveling overseas or if you simply if you travel in general and you do not have like access to one therapists all the time I believe that would be a great thing well I continue to utilize it yes I will even if I have not.
