Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s just that you can text them…Betterhelp Stories… type of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have concepts whenever you’re thinking about things you want to you can discuss it with your therapist type of instantaneously and after that I think a great part about that is if you have an idea sort of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be talking to your therapist that day or perhaps if you are if you just want to remember what you’re thinking you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I believe it can be really practical for people with anxiety or with depression with the press of ideas it sort of offers you a fast outlet for those things and possibly they don’t build up in in your mind as much as they might if you have to wait you know a week to tell your therapist about something so I think that’s really cool I really like it for that I would say that’s a big pro um I would state a con related to that exact same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to discuss if you select to text them about it so if I want to say I’m feeling this way you understand I think it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever but that’s gon na be a little bit longer um something to note is that the therapists examine there the message location where you put the message like your their inbox I think I do not understand what they call it they inspect that 2 times a day or at least my therapist told me that she examines hardest 2 times a day so because regard you’re gon na.
get about two reactions a day about like certainly if you’re probably having like a crisis and they have a minute they can most likely help you but it’s not like they’re simply waiting around for you to message due to the fact that basically they do a lot of these people appear to have maybe not practices however they have a workplace that they work out of anyway so um it’s not extremely instant because regard like discussing things it’s instantaneous that you can tell them your issues and that you can get that off your chest but you may have to wait a little bit longer to go over things and if you’re discussing things in treatment it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and then they’re gon na say oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na sort of discuss it like a normal conversation however with talk area you might say this and after that it might be 5 hours later and then they may say oh well this and after that it’s kind of it takes a lot longer to talk just like if you’re making strategies with your friends you know what I indicate like you can call someone and you can say hello let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know made with your conversation at five minutes whereas it might take like a half an hour to text that backward and forward so that’s just something good to consider you understand something that did bother me a little bit in the beginning yeah the one good thing to it appears to be an excellent bit more affordable than entering to speak to someone it’s about $200 a month around there I could put the real rate like here somebody it’s about that price a month to have the live sessions and the texting and that consists of for that plan it is for half an hour live sessions monthly so each week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I indicate it is less time that you’re probably talking actually because like I stated it’s only half an hour and if you go to therapy you’re probably going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and but you get more assistance I would say so that’s kind of great the app itself the interface is extremely easy to use I like it I do not have actually any problems about it besides possibly like you can’t see if they read it but like I guess that does not matter due to the fact that like they’re gon na react when they see it anyhow so I do not understand that was simply something I thought of but that’s.

not very essential however general I simulate the interface and personally my experience with my therapist has been excellent so far um I suggest it is I would say another con in my opinion would be that it might be tough opening up to these people just because you’re not there in person and you’re not in person quite as much as you would be with typical normal treatment so I think that it could be harder for people to open up to their therapists if you have problem opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did intend to have a bit of problem opening up so it’s been something that I have actually been thinking of but I’m uncertain how much that really is simply me having an issue opening to people or the real app so I’m sorry that the lighting got odd and I actually can’t make a video without everything going wrong simultaneously however back here so I just wanted to give some like last ideas I think I do not desire this to be too long of a video I sort of wished to provide a short overview and then like if you desire me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that essentially I believe it’s a great service I think it does what it says it’s expected to do I believe it’s a bit difficult if you have some issues that are look I think it’s actually helpful for like stress kind of things and I have not been having a great deal of like that kind of thing like I have actually like been just having a lot of like believe you’re not small but like smaller sized things than like my basic stress and anxiety and like what activates me and everything and like depressive ideas so um yeah I indicate I guess I must’ve said that earlier however I do have anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and then I do not I’m not like diagnosed or anything with anxiety um but I do certainly like depressive thoughts and like I actually like to state that I have anxiety but like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I have not used that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summer season here so essentially I think it’s really great if you you understand can’t make it to consultations if you have an actually busy task or something like that I believe also another truly fantastic really fantastic prospect to utilize talk area would be someone who’s traveling a lot so or maybe you’re traveling overseas or if you simply if you take a trip in general and you do not have like access to one therapists all the time I believe that would be a terrific thing well I continue to use it yes I will even if I have not. problems because they resemble things of your mind and they’re things that are like stressing you or things that are making distressed or depressed but I tend to discover that it’s a bit better for just more I’m really distressed about beginning a new task I am really anxious about you know finishing going to school you know stuff like that that’s not actually like existential things um but like I stated if you are experiencing more just you’re going through some stuff then I believe it would be terrific um it also depends on like how comfy you are like speaking with a phone like I understand that that sounds weird however like do you video chat with your good friends do you you understand what I suggest because if you don’t then I feel like it’s gon na be truly strange like you holding up a phone or like speaking to your laptop since it’s gon na resemble this strange like artificial thing however like if you’re utilized to that then it’s kind of like alright whatever like this is typical that’s something I observed I do talk on facetiming a bit so I seem like I’m type of utilized to it however I seemed like when I was doing it this would be strange if I didn’t um so yeah like I said I would definitely recommend it to anybody who travels like full-time because that would be remarkable like then you might actually have therapy if that’s not something that is an alternative to you.
