texting is it’s simply that you can text them…Jackie Murphy Betterhelp… type of whenever you have ideas whenever you have ideas whenever you’re thinking about things you want to you can discuss it with your therapist type of instantaneously and then I think a good part about that is if you have an idea type of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be speaking to your therapist that day and even if you are if you just want to remember what you’re believing you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I believe it can be actually helpful for people with stress and anxiety or with depression with journalism of ideas it sort of offers you a quick outlet for those things and possibly they don’t develop in in your mind as much as they may if you need to wait you understand a week to tell your therapist about something so I think that’s really cool I actually like it for that I would say that’s a huge pro um I would say a con related to that same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to speak about if you choose to text them about it so if I wish to say I’m feeling this way you understand I believe it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists check there the message place where you put the message like your their inbox I guess I do not understand what they call it they check that 2 times a day or a minimum of my therapist told me that she checks hardest 2 times a day so in that regard you’re gon na.
get about two responses a day about like certainly if you’re most likely having like a crisis and they have a minute they can probably assist you however it’s not like they’re simply lingering for you to message since generally they do a great deal of these people appear to have perhaps not practices but they have an office that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not really rapid because regard like discussing things it’s immediate that you can tell them your problems which you can get that off your chest but you may need to wait a bit longer to talk about things and if you’re speaking about things in treatment it’s gon na be you’re gon na state something and after that they’re gon na say oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na kind of talk about it like a regular discussion however with talk area you might say this and after that it might be five hours later and then they may state oh well this and then it’s kind of it takes a lot longer to talk just like if you’re making plans with your friends you understand what I mean like you can call somebody and you can state hi let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know done with your conversation at five minutes whereas it might take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s simply something excellent to consider you understand something that did trouble me a little bit in the beginning yeah the one advantage to it appears to be a great bit more affordable than going in to speak to somebody it has to do with $200 a month around there I could put the actual cost like here somebody it’s about that price a month to have the live sessions and the texting and that includes for that plan it is for half an hour live sessions monthly so every week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re most likely talking truly due to the fact that like I said it’s only half an hour and if you go to treatment you’re probably going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and however you get more assistance I would say so that’s kind of nice the app itself the user interface is really easy to use I like it I do not have really any grievances about it aside from maybe like you can’t see if they read it however like I guess that does not matter because like they’re gon na respond when they see it anyhow so I don’t know that was just something I thought of but that’s.

not very crucial but total I simulate the user interface and personally my experience with my counselor has been excellent up until now um I suggest it is I would state another con in my opinion would be that it might be difficult opening up to these people just because you’re not there personally and you’re not in person quite as much as you would be with normal regular therapy so I believe that it could be harder for individuals to open up to their therapists if you have problem opening to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did intend to have a bit of problem opening up so it’s been something that I have actually been thinking of but I’m unsure just how much that in fact is simply me having an issue opening to people or the real app so I’m sorry that the lighting got unusual and I literally can’t make a video without everything failing at the same time but back here so I simply wished to provide some like last ideas I think I do not want this to be too long of a video I kind of wished to give a brief introduction and then like if you desire me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that essentially I think it’s a great service I think it does what it states it’s expected to do I believe it’s a bit hard if you have some issues that are look I believe it’s really good for like stress type of things and I haven’t been having a lot of like that example like I have like been just having a lot of like believe you’re not small however like smaller things than like my general anxiety and like what activates me and whatever and like depressive ideas so um yeah I suggest I think I ought to’ve stated that earlier but I do have stress and anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and after that I do not I’m not like diagnosed or anything with depression um but I do definitely like depressive thoughts and like I really like to say that I have depression however like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I haven’t used that for that long so I do not understand it’s summer season here so generally I think it’s truly great if you you understand can’t make it to consultations if you have an actually busy task or something like that I think also another really great actually fantastic candidate to use talk space would be someone who’s traveling a lot so or maybe you’re taking a trip overseas or if you simply if you take a trip in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I believe that would be a terrific thing well I continue to use it yes I will even if I haven’t.
