Is it better to work for Talkspace or BetterHelp?
texting is it’s just that you can text them…Jennifer Manning Betterhelp… kind of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have concepts whenever you’re thinking about things you want to you can talk about it with your therapist type of immediately and after that I think a great part about that is if you have a thought sort of mid week or whenever you understand you aren’t going to be talking with your therapist that day or even if you are if you just wish to remember what you’re thinking you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I think it can be really practical for people with anxiety or with depression with journalism of thoughts it sort of offers you a quick outlet for those things and perhaps they do not build up in in your mind as much as they might if you have to wait you know a week to inform your therapist about something so I think that’s really cool I actually like it for that I would state that’s a huge pro um I would state a con related to that same thing is that things simply take a lot longer to speak about if you select to text them about it so if I want to say I’m feeling by doing this you understand I think it’s because of this or this they might state oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a bit longer um something to note is that the therapists examine there the message place where you put the message like your their inbox I guess I don’t understand what they call it they inspect that 2 times a day or at least my therapist told me that she examines hardest two times a day so in that regard you’re gon na.
get about 2 reactions a day about like clearly if you’re most likely having like a crisis and they have a moment they can most likely help you but it’s not like they’re simply waiting around for you to message because basically they do a great deal of these people appear to have possibly not practices however they have an office that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not extremely immediate in that regard like talking about things it’s immediate that you can tell them your problems and that you can get that off your chest however you might need to wait a little bit longer to go over things and if you’re speaking about things in treatment it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and after that they’re gon na state oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na sort of talk about it like a normal discussion but with talk area you may say this and then it might be five hours later and after that they may say oh well this and then it’s type of it takes a lot longer to talk similar to if you’re making strategies with your friends you understand what I suggest like you can call someone and you can state hey let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you understand finished with your conversation at 5 minutes whereas it might take like a half an hour to text that backward and forward so that’s simply something great to consider you understand something that did trouble me a bit at first yeah the one advantage to it seems to be a great bit less expensive than going in to talk to someone it’s about $200 a month around there I might put the actual rate like here somebody it’s about that price a month to have the live sessions and the texting and that consists of for that plan it is for half an hour live sessions each month so weekly you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re most likely talking actually since like I said it’s only half an hour and if you go to treatment you’re most likely going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and but you get more assistance I would say so that’s kind of nice the app itself the user interface is very easy to use I like it I don’t have actually any problems about it other than perhaps like you can’t see if they read it but like I guess that does not matter since like they’re gon na respond when they see it anyway so I don’t know that was simply something I thought about however that’s.

not extremely essential but total I simulate the user interface and personally my experience with my counselor has been excellent so far um I indicate it is I would state another con in my opinion would be that it might be tough opening to these individuals even if you’re not there face to face and you’re not personally rather as much as you would be with normal regular treatment so I think that it could be harder for people to open to their therapists if you have problem opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s just something to consider I did plan to have a bit of trouble opening so it’s been something that I have actually been thinking of however I’m not sure just how much that actually is just me having a problem opening to people or the actual app so I’m sorry that the lighting got unusual and I literally can’t make a video without everything failing at the same time but back here so I simply wished to provide some like last thoughts I think I do not want this to be too long of a video I kind of wanted to give a quick introduction and then like if you desire me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that basically I think it’s a great service I believe it does what it states it’s supposed to do I believe it’s a little bit difficult if you have some problems that are appearance I believe it’s truly good for like tension kind of things and I haven’t been having a great deal of like that example like I have like been just having a great deal of like believe you’re not small however like smaller things than like my general anxiety and like what triggers me and everything and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I mean I guess I must’ve stated that earlier however I do have anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and then I don’t I’m not like identified or anything with depression um but I do absolutely like depressive thoughts and like I really like to state that I have depression but like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I have not utilized that for that long so I don’t know it’s summer here so generally I believe it’s really great if you you understand can’t make it to appointments if you have a really busy job or something like that I think also another truly terrific truly excellent candidate to use talk space would be someone who’s traveling a lot so or maybe you’re traveling overseas or if you just if you take a trip in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I think that would be a great thing well I continue to use it yes I will just because I have not. personally found a therapist that I like around here and I also do not like insurance coverage is really spotty with this so it depends on if you ‘d be insured anyway however like I require to exercise some insurance stuff before I even like think about this so I imply I believe it’s an excellent service I have actually seen a lot of other sponsored interviews or like I’ve seen a number of other sponsor interviews for talk area and then there’s another one that a youtuber I truly love I view all of her videos and she discussed it but I don’t remember what that a person was called I can insert it here once again and that’s like something similar so if you want to look into that a person to compare them the reason I ended up getting talk space was because my boyfriend was sort of pressing me to do something to do therapy because he understood that I was going through a great deal of tension so so he sort of was the one who was saying hey you should actually talk with someone and he learnt about talk space therefore that was the one that he truly suggested me to utilize that he for he’s heard a lot of like good things about but again like it’s truly like talked about a lot through sponsorships which’s practically the only way I’ve ever become aware of it I have not truly become aware of it unn sponsored and I’m most likely gon na like fine on sponsored evaluations as I go to post this however yeah I think it’s I think it’s a fantastic service for what it is I believe it’s not for everybody though um and I believe like I was type of starting to say prior to if you have much deeper issues if you have bad anxiety if you have bad depression I believe that it’s important to be seeing someone in person especially if it’s you know things that it’s simply it’s it’s harder to talk about more extensive issues there’s something I have actually kind of discovered like clearly these are deep.
concerns because they resemble things of your mind and they’re things that resemble worrying you or things that are making depressed or distressed but I tend to find that it’s a little bit much better for just more I’m truly distressed about beginning a new job I am truly nervous about you understand finishing going to school you know stuff like that that’s not really like existential things um however like I said if you are experiencing more just you’re going through some things then I believe it would be fantastic um it likewise depends upon like how comfortable you are like talking to a phone like I understand that that sounds unusual however like do you video chat with your friends do you you understand what I suggest since if you don’t then I feel like it’s gon na be really unusual like you holding up a phone or like talking with your laptop computer since it’s gon na be like this strange like artificial thing but like if you’re utilized to that then it’s type of like all right whatever like this is regular that’s something I noticed I do talk on facetiming a bit so I feel like I’m kind of used to it however I seemed like when I was doing it this would be strange if I didn’t um so yeah like I said I would certainly recommend it to any person who takes a trip like full-time since that would be awesome like then you could in fact have therapy if that’s not something that is an alternative to you.
