texting is it’s simply that you can text them…Stacey Cohen Betterhelp… kind of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have ideas whenever you’re considering things you want to you can speak about it with your therapist sort of instantly and after that I believe a great part about that is if you have a thought kind of mid week or whenever you understand you aren’t going to be speaking with your therapist that day or perhaps if you are if you just wish to remember what you’re believing you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I think it can be really useful for people with stress and anxiety or with anxiety with the press of ideas it kind of provides you a fast outlet for those things and maybe they don’t build up in in your mind as much as they might if you have to wait you know a week to tell your therapist about something so I believe that’s actually cool I really like it for that I would say that’s a big professional um I would state a con related to that very same thing is that things just take a lot longer to speak about if you choose to text them about it so if I want to say I’m feeling in this manner you know I believe it’s because of this or this they might say oh well do you consider this this this whatever but that’s gon na be a little bit longer um something to note is that the therapists examine there the message place where you put the message like your their inbox I guess I don’t understand what they call it they inspect that two times a day or a minimum of my therapist informed me that she examines hardest 2 times a day so because regard you’re gon na.
get about two actions a day about like certainly if you’re most likely having like a crisis and they have a moment they can most likely assist you however it’s not like they’re simply lingering for you to message since essentially they do a lot of these people seem to have possibly not practices but they have an office that they work out of anyhow so um it’s not very rapid in that regard like discussing things it’s instantaneous that you can tell them your issues and that you can get that off your chest however you might have to wait a bit longer to talk about things and if you’re speaking about things in treatment it’s gon na be you’re gon na say something and then they’re gon na state oh it’s this how you resolve this they’re gon na sort of speak about it like a regular conversation however with talk area you may state this and after that it might be 5 hours later and then they may state oh well this and then it’s kind of it takes a lot longer to talk just like if you’re making plans with your buddies you know what I indicate like you can call somebody and you can state hey let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know finished with your discussion at five minutes whereas it may take like a half an hour to text that back and forth so that’s just something great to think of you know something that did trouble me a bit in the beginning yeah the one advantage to it appears to be a good bit more affordable than going in to speak to someone it’s about $200 a month around there I could put the real price like here someone it has to do with that cost a month to have the live sessions and the texting which consists of for that plan it is for half an hour live sessions per month so weekly you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re probably talking actually since like I stated it’s just half an hour and if you go to therapy you’re most likely going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and however you get more assistance I would say so that’s kind of great the app itself the user interface is very easy to use I like it I don’t have truly any problems about it aside from possibly like you can’t see if they read it but like I guess that does not matter due to the fact that like they’re gon na respond when they see it anyway so I do not know that was just something I thought of however that’s.

not extremely crucial but total I simulate the interface and personally my experience with my therapist has actually been great so far um I mean it is I would state another con in my viewpoint would be that it might be difficult opening to these people even if you’re not there face to face and you’re not personally quite as much as you would be with typical regular treatment so I believe that it could be harder for people to open to their therapists if you have trouble opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s simply something to consider I did mean to have a bit of problem opening so it’s been something that I’ve been thinking about however I’m not sure how much that really is simply me having an issue opening to people or the real app so I’m sorry that the lighting got odd and I literally can’t make a video without whatever going wrong at the same time however back here so I simply wanted to give some like last ideas I guess I do not desire this to be too long of a video I kind of wanted to offer a quick introduction and then like if you want me to go more in depth about it I sort of can like in an follow-up video or something like that basically I think it’s an excellent service I believe it does what it states it’s expected to do I think it’s a little bit hard if you have some concerns that are look I believe it’s actually helpful for like stress kind of things and I haven’t been having a lot of like that example like I have actually like been just having a lot of like think you’re not small but like smaller sized things than like my basic anxiety and like what activates me and everything and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I indicate I think I must’ve stated that earlier however I do have stress and anxiety like generalized anxiety and then I do not I’m not like diagnosed or anything with depression um but I do absolutely like depressive thoughts and like I actually like to say that I have depression but like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I have not utilized that for that long so I don’t understand it’s summertime here so basically I believe it’s really excellent if you you know can’t make it to consultations if you have a really busy task or something like that I believe likewise another really great really terrific prospect to use talk area would be somebody who’s taking a trip a lot so or possibly you’re traveling overseas or if you just if you travel in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I believe that would be a fantastic thing well I continue to use it yes I will just because I have not. personally found a therapist that I like around here and I also don’t like insurance coverage is truly spotty with this so it depends on if you ‘d be insured anyhow but like I need to work out some insurance stuff before I even like think of this so I mean I believe it’s a great service I have seen a great deal of other sponsored interviews or like I have actually seen a number of other sponsor interviews for talk space and after that there’s another one that a youtuber I actually like I see all of her videos and she talked about it however I do not remember what that one was called I can place it here again which’s like something similar so if you want to check out that one to compare them the factor I ended up getting talk area was because my boyfriend was type of pressing me to do something to do treatment since he knew that I was going through a great deal of tension so so he type of was the one who was saying hey you must actually talk to someone and he understood about talk area and so that was the one that he truly recommended me to utilize that he for he’s heard a lot of like good things about however once again like it’s truly like talked about a lot through sponsorships which’s pretty much the only method I have actually ever heard of it I haven’t actually heard of it unn sponsored and I’m probably gon na like fine on sponsored evaluations as I go to post this however yeah I think it’s I believe it’s a great service for what it is I think it’s not for everyone though um and I think like I was type of starting to say before if you have deeper problems if you have bad stress and anxiety if you have bad depression I think that it’s important to be seeing somebody face to face particularly if it’s you understand things that it’s just it’s it’s harder to speak about more in-depth issues there’s something I’ve kind of noticed like clearly these are deep.
problems because they’re like things of your mind and they’re things that are like stressing you or things that are making depressed or distressed however I tend to find that it’s a bit better for simply more I’m actually nervous about starting a brand-new task I am truly anxious about you understand graduating going to school you know stuff like that that’s not actually like existential things um but like I said if you are experiencing more simply you’re going through some things then I think it would be fantastic um it also depends on like how comfortable you resemble speaking to a phone like I know that that sounds odd however like do you video chat with your friends do you you know what I suggest since if you do not then I seem like it’s gon na be truly unusual like you holding up a phone or like speaking with your laptop because it’s gon na be like this strange like artificial thing however like if you’re used to that then it’s kind of like alright whatever like this is regular that’s something I observed I do talk on facetiming a bit so I seem like I’m type of utilized to it but I seemed like when I was doing it this would be weird if I didn’t um so yeah like I stated I would definitely recommend it to any person who travels like full-time since that would be amazing like then you could really have treatment if that’s not something that is an option to you.
